Leroy Hood to Lecture Royal Academy of Engineering

Leroy Hood, MD, PhD NSBCC Co-Director and President of the Institute for Systems Biology in Seattle, Washington will deliver the UK Focus for Biomedical Engineering Annual Lecture to the Royal Academy of Engineering in London.  The title of his talk is "Sstems Biology and Medicine:  from reactive to predictive, personalized, preventive and participatory medicine."

Jim Heath featured in June National Geographic

Jim Heath was among those featured in the June 2006 National Geographic article entitled "Nanotechnology" which discussed the history, current applications and research projects currently underway for nanotechnology.  Heath's research on the development of nanoscale sensors for detecting and diagnosing cancer was discussed and highlighted.
